Where can I find associations and mentors?

Where can I find associations and mentors?: practical guidance and resources for entrepreneurs in India.

A useful network can help you find practical advice, suppliers or buyers. Start with the help you need, then compare what a group actually offers and what it costs.

Find possible contacts

Ask a district industries centre, producer group, trade association or incubator about meetings and services. A local association may understand buyers and suppliers in your activity; an incubator may focus on mentoring and venture development. Women founders may find peer groups useful, but should compare their actual offer. Rural founders can ask whether meetings or support are accessible without frequent travel.

Ask before joining

Check the organisation's identity and current contact details. Ask about membership fees, meeting location, languages, time commitment, who can participate and what services are included. If you want a mentor, explain the decision you are facing and ask about their relevant experience, availability and any charges. Do not share sensitive business information until you understand how it will be used.

Attend an introductory meeting where possible, then assess whether the contacts or advice help you act. Browse trade communities and incubators for starting points. Listings are not endorsements or a guarantee of service quality.
